33RD ANNUAL POETRY CONTEST 2008

FEES: $2.00 per poem for Category 1 from all entrants
ONE $4.00 fee per SDSPS MEMBER for all other categories combined
ONE $7.00 fee per NON-MEMBER for all other categories combined
Prizes: GRAND SDSPS PRIZE -- $75 -- $50 -- $25, plus honorable mentions
ALL OTHER CATEGORIES -- $25 -- $15 -- $10, plus honorable mentions
MONEY-WINNING POEMS, only, will be published in winter Pasque Petals.
Note—FAILURE TO FOLLOW RULES OR CATEGORY SPECIFICATIONS WILL AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFY THE ENTRY AND THE FEE WILL BE FORFEITED.
Deadline August 1, 2008
1. Poems must be original, unpublished, and have won no more than $10.
2. Send as many poems as desired for category #1; send only one poem per category for #s 2-16.
3. No poem may be entered in more than one category.
4. Except where noted, length is limited to 40 lines.
5. All poems except haiku and tanka must be titled.
6. Send one original and one copy with the category on the upper left of both, and your name and address on the upper right of copy only .
7. For a list of winners and next year’s rules send a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Poems will not be returned. Keep copies.
8. Sponsors may enter their own categories if otherwise qualified.
